TD RETAIL CARD SERVICES (formerly Shoppers Charge Accounts Co.), Mahwah, N.J. This division of TD Banknorth, N.A., operates private-label charge card programs for independent retailers throughout North America. Publicize company's activities in trade and business media. Created and produced newsletter, SCA Charge Accounts, mailed to existing clients and potential clients. Also oversee ongoing trade advertising program. Client since December 1992.

R.J. BRUNELLI & COMPANY, Old Bridge, N.J. Retail real estate brokerage covering New Jersey market. Handle PR effort aimed at trade and general media. Also developed corporate brochures.  Client since January 1989.

CLEAR THINKING GROUP, Hillsborough, N.J. LE CLAIR RYAN, Richmond, Va.  Full service law firm with over 140 attorneys in Virginia, Washington,  D.C., and New York. Retained to provide local and national PR support for New York office, launched in October 2006.  Client since October 2006.

ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP, N.J. Serve as public relations consultant to this Monmouth County municipality of 20,000 residents. Services range from writing of press releases and guidance to manager and council on communications, to the start-up and ongoing production of a newsletter to residents and local businesses.  Client since January 1999.

ZEBU FORNO FRANCHISE, LLC, Red Bank, N.J. Regional operator and franchisor of European-style bakery-cafes. Retained to promote launch of company’s program to expand through franchise sales in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, via campaign targeting restaurant and retail real estate trades, entrepreneurial publications and general business media. THE MACERICH COMPANY (NYSE: MAC), Santa Monica, Ca. One of the nation's largest shopping center organizations, owning/operating 76 regional malls totaling approximately 80 million square feet  throughout the United States. Publicize company's activities in the trade press. Also, produce Macerich Happenings, company's monthly external newsletter; Westcor Development Quarterly newsletter for its Westcor subsidiary; Velocity quarterly employee newsletter; and generate news column for corporate website. Client since November 1980.

NEW WORLD RESTAURANT GROUP, INC. (NWRG.PK), Golden, Colo. One of the largest operator/franchisor of quick casual restaurants throughout U.S., with over 700 units under five brands.  Directed PR effort for this publicly-owned company aimed at the financial community, potential franchisees and the real estate community. Also handled investor relations.  Manhattan Bagel was client since April 1991, assumed responsibilities for New World after its November 1998 acquisition of Manhattan Bagel until January 2006, when company moved PR/IR functions to agencies near its Colorado headquarters.

MARKS & ASSOCIATES, Red Bank, N.J. Small law firm with specializations in franchise law and trusts & estates. Directed public relations effort geared to local, regional and national media, including trade, entrepreneurial and professional publications. Client on project basis from June 1993 through December 2004

BLAKESLEE PRESTRESS, Branford, Conn. Manufacturer of precast/pre-stressed concrete products. Publicized company's activities in trade and business media. Also was responsible for brochures and advertising. Client from 1983 through 1996.

NPC CHECK SERVICES, Riverdale, N.J. North America's third largest check authorization company, serving the retailing, hospitality and automotive industries. Publicized company's activities in trade and business media. Created and produced quarterly newsletter, CounterPoints. Also administered trade advertising program.  Client from August 1985 through September 1995.

SPHERION ASSESSMENT GROUP (formerly Interim Assessment Services), Charlotte, N.C., subsidiary of Spherion Corp. (NYSE:  SFN).  Provider of state-of-the-art automated pre-employment screening, exit interviews and other human resources programs for corporations of all types.  Directed public relations program geared to industry, developed and produce company newsletter, In Touch, and handled trade magazine advertising. Client from January 1995 through December 2001, at which time PR function was moved in-house.

VISIBLE RESULTS USA, Kansas City, Kans.  Provider of patented loyalty card technology and customer relationship management systems for retailers, restaurants and other consumer marketing companies.  Subsidiary of Auckland, NZ-based Visible Results Group of Companies.  Directed short-term public relations program to launch system in the continental U.S., targeting retail, restaurant, hotel and other trades.  Client from April 2001 through December 2002, at which time PR function was re-assumed by parent company’s department in New Zealand.

THE WHITMAN COMPANIES, East Brunswick, N.J. Environmental engineering and consulting firm. Directed public relations program geared to industry, as well as the real estate, financial and legal communities.  Also handled advertising. Client from December 1991 through May 1999.

JORDAN KIMMEL, Randolph, N.J. Private money manager and principal of local affiliate office of First Montauk Securities, one of the nation's largest networks of independent securities brokerages.  Directed public relations program geared to investors and the financial community at large.  Client from July 1997 through March 2001.

CDI GROUP, New York, N.Y. International firm specializing in the design of retail store environments and visual merchandising elements for consumer product manufacturers. Directed public relations effort geared to the trade and general business media. Client from 1989 through 2002 (at which time new ownership assumed total control of day-to-day management of the business).

KEY HANDLING SYSTEMS, Hackensack, N.J. Developer and installer of automated distribution center systems for specialty and general merchandise retailers.  Directed public relations effort targeted to retail industry trade publications.  Client from July 1984 through February 1987.

FIRST MONTAUK SECURITIES CORP. (OTC: FMFK), Red Bank, N.J. Publicly-owned, full-service investment banking and brokerage firm with offices across the United States. Directed public relations program geared to recruiting new independent brokers and generating new consumer business. Client from January 1995 through September 1996.

JO-ANN'S NUT HOUSE, INC., Matawan, N.J. Franchisor of over 180 confectionery shops throughout the eastern U.S. Directed public relations effort geared to consumer, general business and trade press; produced franchisee newsletter and franchise brochures. Handled account from October 1981 through May 1985. Company was sold in 1983 to Carrols Corp. Remained with new owner until chain began to experience financial difficulties. Carrols subsequently sold the chain.

CARROLS CORPORATION, Syracuse, N.Y. Was retained in July 1983 by this NYSE corporation (the nation's largest Burger King franchisee) following its acquisition of Jo-Ann's to write annual report and financial press releases. Continued with company until it went private through a leveraged buyout in Fall 1986.

MAIONE COMPANIES, INC. (NASDAQ: MHCI), Parsippany, N.J. Developer and builder of residential communities and commercial projects in northern and central New Jersey; operator of casino in Antigua. Handled general public relations effort geared to consumers and the financial and real estate communities. Client from September 1985 through September 1988 (relationship terminated in wake of company’s bankruptcy).

BROOKS SATELLITE INC., Aberdeen, N.J. Franchisor of some 15 stores offering sales and installation of satellite TV reception systems. Involved with this NASDAQ-traded company from its formation in January 1984 through its demise in Summer 1986. Handled public relations effort geared to the financial community, potential franchisees, the trade and consumers. Produced corporate newsletter.

CAREER MANAGEMENT, East Brunswick, NJ/New York, NY. Executive search firm specializing in the retailing, e-commerce and catalog industries. Retained to publicize the firm in general business media, as well as retail trades. Client from July 2007 to September 2008.

MOTORWORKS, Philadelphia, Pa. Nation's first franchise chain of automotive engine installation centers. Directed nationwide public relations effort geared to potential franchisees, auto owners and other interested parties. Client from December 1991 through November 1993.

GLOBAL HEALTH SCIENCES, Orange, Ca.  Developer and custom manufacturer of dietary and nutritional supplements.  Wrote and distributed press releases on quarterly financials and other significant developments; produced slide presentations for financial community road shows (Global’s bonds were publicly traded.)  Client from July 1998 through company’s bankruptcy filing in December 2000.

FOX PROMOTIONS, Cranford, N.J. Nationwide firm offering liquidation services to independent and chain retailers.  Publicized firm's activities in trade and general business media. Client from February 1994 through firm’s closure in 2000.

THE ABBEY COMPANY, Garden Grove, Ca.  Commercial real estate firm specializing in the acquisition, repositioning and ongoing management of office, industrial and retail properties in the western US.  Directed public relations program geared to the real estate and investment communities.  Also developed and produced quarterly external newsletter, Inside Abbey. Client from February 1999 through December 2001.

PRIME TIME PLUS/BONEWEAR INC., Neptune, N.J. Distributor and importer of promotional products for industry. Also, developer and marketer of licensed line of 'Boneman' activewear.  Directed public relations efforts targeting industry of all types for Prime Time Plus, as well as retail/garment industry trades, and consumer media for Bonewear.  Client from January 1997 through June 2001.

FROST & SULLIVAN, New York. Marketing research firm selling "off-the-shelf" studies to corporations. Publicized company's studies on the consumer products, pharmaceuticals, defense, chemicals and electronics industries in trade and general media. Client from 1979 through 1982.

TECH HIFI, Randolph, Mass. Ten-state, 72 store audio-video chain. Directed public relations campaigns to consumer and trade media publicizing this troubled chain's conversion into America's first off-price home entertainment retailer, as well as other corporate developments. Worked with company from October 1983 until Chapter XI filing in April 1984.

CABOT MEDICAL CORPORATION (NASDAQ: CBOT), Langhorne, Pa. Medical instrumentation company engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of equipment and supplies for gynecological surgery. Directed public relations program geared to the financial and professional communities, wrote annual and quarterly reports. Client from April 1987 through May 1988.

CERTIFIED MORTGAGE ASSOCIATES, Marlboro, N.J. Mortgage banking firm serving consumers throughout New Jersey. Publicized firm's activities in national, statewide and local media. Also directed newspaper advertising campaign. Client from 1989 through 1995.

HDTV WAREHOUSE, INC., Westport, CT. New specialty retail venture created by the former president of the Gateway Country chain. Worked on project basis to handle local and trade media publicity campaign to support openings of company’s initial stores in Orange and Norwalk, CT. Client from January 2005 - March 2007.
